Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1: Welcome to Japan!

Hey Adventurer, Welcome to Japan!

We’ll scoop you up from the airport and whisk you off to your cosy hotel. But first, let’s kick things off with a welcome meal where you can mingle with your fellow explorers. This isn’t just a trip; it’s the beginning of a fantastic adventure in Japan!

Day 2: Deep Dive into Tokyo

From the moment you set foot in the city, you’re plunged into a whirlwind of sights, sounds, and flavours. We’ll kick off our journey at Tsukiji Market, a treasure trove of Japanese delicacies. Together, we’ll find an abundance of fresh seafood and savour local treats.

Next, we’ll hop aboard the Asakusa line and make our way to the historic district of Asakusa. Lose yourself in its enchanting atmosphere as we wander around the iconic Asakusa Temple and its surroundings. Immerse yourself in the rich cultural heritage and enjoy the picturesque views.

As the day unfolds, we’ll head to Ueno, a district known for its rich cultural offerings. Explore the vast Ueno Park, home to a zoo, museums, and picturesque scenery. Immerse yourself in the artistic and intellectual atmosphere, browse through the shopping area, and discover the diverse attractions this neighborhood has to offer. 

Concluding our day, we’ll make our way to Akihabara, Tokyo’s mecca for gaming, anime, and manga enthusiasts. Immerse yourself in the unique blend of subcultures as we visit Kanda Myojin Shrine, a shrine with a distinct anime influence.

Day 3: Modern Tokyo

Continuing our Tokyo adventure, we’ll make our way to Harajuku, a playground for fashion lovers and cultural enthusiasts. We’ll stroll through streets lined with unique boutiques, quirky cafes, and eclectic street art. Dive into Harajuku’s youthful culture and discover the cutting-edge trends in fashion and style with us.

Then, we’ll head to Shibuya, a vibrant hub known for its dynamic energy and the famed Scramble Crossing. Don’t miss snapping a photo with the beloved Hachiko statue and soak up the district’s youthful vibe.

As the day draws on, we’ll make our way to Shinjuku, a district that truly never sleeps. We’ll explore its teeming train station, gaze up at the towering department stores, and delve into the maze of tiny bars and eateries that define its electrifying nightlife scene.

 

Day 4: Kamakura and Enoshima

 

Today, we escape to the scenic beauty of Kamakura and Enoshima, perfect for a day away from the hustle and bustle. Our journey starts at Komachi Dori, a vibrant shopping street in Kamakura, filled with traditional shops and eateries. Here, you can explore a variety of local treats and unique souvenirs, immersing yourself in the local culture.

Next, we visit Kotoku-in, the famous temple home to the Great Buddha (Daibutsu) of Kamakura. This impressive 13-meter bronze statue is a symbol of the area and offers a serene setting to appreciate Japan’s rich spiritual history.

We then head to Enoshima, a small island known for its beautiful coastal views and charming sights. 

Day 5: Kawaguchiko

Prepare for a scenic escape from the bustling city as we embark on a journey to Kawaguchiko, a gateway to the majestic Mount Fuji.

Using private transportation, we’ll go to Arakurayama Sengen Park, a park known for its stunning views of Mount Fuji, one of Japan’s most iconic landmarks, and is particularly famous for its picturesque view of Chureito Pagoda, which stands on a hilltop overlooking the city and provides a stunning backdrop of Mount Fuji.

After enjoying the breathtaking views, we’ll head to a local eatery for a delightful lunch experience. Funatsuya awaits, offering a taste of regional cuisine with their specialty, Hoto noodles. These flat udon noodles served in a hearty miso soup, accompanied by a medley of vegetables, provide a unique and flavorful experience that is sure to please your taste buds.

With lunch finished, we’ll embark on an exploration of the mystical underground wonders of the Fugaku Wind Cave and the Narusawa Ice Cave. Marvel at the natural formations and unique atmospheres as we traverse these captivating caves, providing a sense of adventure and a chance to appreciate the wonders of nature.

Day 6: Shizuoka and Mishima

We will begin this day’s scenic adventure with a visit to Arakurayama Sengen Park. Marvel at its breathtaking views of Mount Fuji and the iconic Chureito Pagoda, offering a perfect photo opportunity against the backdrop of Japan’s most revered mountain.

Next, try a hands-on tea experience with tea leaf picking, where you’ll learn about the art of tea cultivation and enjoy tasting freshly prepared tea in a serene setting.

Afterward, immerse yourself in the lively atmosphere of Numazu Fish Market, known for its fresh seafood and bustling stalls offering a glimpse into local culinary delights.

We will conclude our day with a visit to Mishima Skywalk, Japan’s longest pedestrian suspension bridge, providing panoramic views of Mount Fuji and Suruga Bay.

Day 7: Kyoto's Famous Sights and Hidden Gems

Wake up refreshed and ready to explore Kyoto. Using private transportation, we will begin our day in the scenic district of Arashiyama, where you’ll uncover major sights as well as hidden gems tucked away in this charming area known for its bamboo groves, serene temples, and historic bridges.

Next, visit the iconic Kinkakuji, the Golden Pavilion, a stunning Zen temple adorned with gold leaf, reflecting beautifully on the serene pond that surrounds it.

Continue your spiritual journey with a visit to Shimogamo Shrine, an ancient Shinto shrine nestled in a serene forest setting, offering a tranquil atmosphere ideal for contemplation and reflection.

Day 8: Experiencing Authentic Kyoto

We will start this day at the iconic Fushimi Inari Shrine, famous for its thousands of vermillion torii gates winding through the forested hills, offering a spiritual and visually stunning experience.

Next, we will visit Kiyomizu-dera, a historic temple perched on a hillside with panoramic views of Kyoto. Marvel at its elegant wooden architecture and enjoy the serene atmosphere that has inspired visitors for centuries.

We will then stroll through Ninenzaka and Sanenzaka, historic pedestrian streets lined with traditional machiya houses, boutiques, and quaint cafes, offering a glimpse into Kyoto’s traditional charm.

Then, immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere of Nishiki Market, known as “Kyoto’s Kitchen,” where you can explore stalls brimming with local delicacies and culinary treasures.

We will conclude our day with a unique knife-making experience, where you’ll learn about the craftsmanship behind Japanese knives.

Day 9: Uji and Nara

We’ll start our day in the tranquil town of Uji, famed for its premium green tea. You’ll get to explore the lush Uji tea farms, where the air is as fresh as the tea is green. Here’ you’ll participate in a tea ceremony that’s sure to invigorate your senses.

Next, we’ll visit the iconic Byodoin Temple, a masterpiece of Japanese Buddhist architecture. Marvel at its stunning Phoenix Hall, which beautifully reflects on the temple pond, creating a scene that feels straight out of a painting.

After soaking up the serenity of Uji, we’ll travel to the historic city of Nara. At Nara Park, you’ll meet the friendly deers that roam freely, symbolizing messengers of the gods. Wander through the sprawling park grounds, visit the ancient temples, and embrace the peaceful natural setting.

We’ll conclude our journey by heading to Osaka. After a day of tranquility and historical exploration, the vibrant energy of the city will provide a delightful contrast, setting the stage for more adventures in Japan’s urban landscape.

Day 10: Osaka

On the last day of the tour, we’ll dive into the vibrant city of Osaka, beginning with a visit to the majestic Osaka Castle, a symbol of power and legacy in Japanese history. Explore its impressive architecture and surrounding gardens, offering a glimpse into Japan’s feudal past.

Afterward, immerse yourself in the local atmosphere at Temma, a lively district known for its bustling market and vibrant shopping arcade. Experience the pulse of daily life as you browse through local shops and sample delicious street food offerings.

We will also head to Dotonbori, Osaka’s iconic entertainment district famous for its neon lights, bustling restaurants, and vibrant nightlife. Stroll along the canal, known for its illuminated signboards and lively atmosphere, offering a sensory feast of sights and sounds.
