Japan Trip with Josh FAQs
Is the Hoto noodle making hard?
Not at all. Just like the workshops on our other tours, this experience is designed for enjoyment and cultural connection, not technical mastery. You will be guided by local experts in Kawaguchiko who help you every step of the way.
What will the weather be like?
It will be peak autumn (koyo season), so expect crisp, cool air. Tokyo and Kanazawa usually range from 15°C to 20°C during the day, but it will be colder in the evenings and in the mountains at Shirakawago. We recommend packing layers.
Is there a lot of walking?
Yes. Japan is best explored on foot. Expect to walk around 10,000 to 15,000 steps a day, including navigating train stations and strolling through large gardens like Kenrokuen. Comfortable walking shoes are essential.
What is the Geisha Dinner experience?
This is a cultural highlight in Kanazawa on Day 6. You will enjoy a traditional meal while being entertained by Geisha. It is elegant but welcoming, and your guide will explain everything so you can simply relax and enjoy the performance.
