Japan's Ultimate Otaku Adventure FAQs
Is this tour timed for cherry blossom season?
Yes, absolutely. The tour dates from late March to early April are intentionally set during the typical peak of the cherry blossom season in Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka. While we can’t guarantee nature’s timing, the itinerary gives you an excellent chance of seeing the beautiful sakura in full bloom.
I've never heard of Nijigen no Mori. What is it?
Nijigen no Mori is a unique outdoor anime theme park on Awaji Island that uses nature and technology to create large-scale attractions. You can train like a ninja in a life-sized Hidden Leaf Village from Naruto, take a zipline into the mouth of a giant Godzilla, or participate in a real-life Dragon Quest RPG. It’s an active and very different kind of anime experience.
Do I need to be a hardcore anime fan to enjoy this trip?
Not at all! While the tour is definitely focused on otaku culture, it’s designed to be enjoyable for anyone with an interest in Japanese pop culture, animation, or unique experiences. Attractions like teamLab Planets, the onsen in Hakone, and seeing Japan during cherry blossom season have a very broad appeal.
Will there be enough time for shopping?
Yes, we’ve built in time for shopping in otaku havens like Akihabara, Nakano Broadway, and Den Den Town. We also use a luggage forwarding service between major cities, so you’ll have space in your main suitcase for all the figures, manga, and merchandise you collect along the way.
