🗓️ Sample Itinerary

This is the general route for this tour, but the specific stops are flexible and adjusted to your interests & tastes.

Start at a major beer hall or showroom to taste fresh brews from some of Japan’s most famous producers.

From there, explore a couple of small-batch craft breweries and taprooms tucked into the neighbourhood; the kind of spots serving unique seasonal ales you won’t find at the big beer halls.

Finish the evening on Hoppy Street, Asakusa’s classic outdoor “izakaya street,” for a lively last round in a distinctly retro atmosphere.

Shaye

Kyoto Guide

“Shaye was awesome! It was so helpful having someone to take us around to different spots in Kyoto. It saved us so much time and allowed us to get more background on the locations. Shaye and I also traded skin care tips and I left Japan with several of her product recommendations.”

Over 3 hours through Tokyo’s downtown “shitamachi” areas, Asakusa and Oshiage, you’ll move from a famous beer hall or showroom through smaller craft breweries to the retro, open-air energy of Hoppy Street, tasting a mix of big-name Japanese brews and local small-batch ales along the way.

How We Customise Your Private Tokyo Beer Tour

After booking, tell us whether you lean more towards classic Japanese lagers, craft and small-batch beers, or a mix of both, and your guide will shape the stops accordingly.

Useful information includes:

  • Beer style preferences (classic lager, craft/small-batch, or both)
  • Any breweries or bars you’ve already visited
  • Dietary needs, if you’d like food recommendations too

We will use this information to prepare a suitable route. The itinerary remains flexible, and your guide can adjust the pace when practical during the tour.
