What You’ll Do
One of the best ways to experience Japan is through its nightlife. We uncover the local spots in Shibuya that most tourists walk right past.
We visit three unique locations: a traditional izakaya for dinner, a karaoke snack pub, and a local bar.
It is a chance to mingle with locals and see what it is really like to be a regular here. You get the fun of a night out without worrying about the language barrier or cover charges.

The Route
Meet up with your guide outside the Tsutaya Starbucks in Shibuya.
The evening starts with a sit-down dinner at a local izakaya, with a welcome drink or shot to kick things off.
From there, you’ll move on to a couple of hidden local bars for another round of welcome drinks and a taste of Shibuya’s nightlife away from the obvious tourist spots.
The night wraps up with free entrance to a local nightclub (or a karaoke/darts pub, depending on the group’s mood), for a proper final round with your guide and fellow travellers.

This tour suits solo travellers, couples and small groups who want a fun, social night out and don’t mind sharing the evening with other guests. It’s not suitable for minors.

Is This a Private or Group Tour?
This is a join-in style group tour so you’ll be sharing the evening with other travellers.
If you’d prefer a fully private night out, the Tokyo Local Bar Tour and Golden Gai Bar Tour (also near Shibuya) are both private options.
What Will You Experience on the Shibuya Bar Tour?
Over the course of 4 hours in the evening, you’ll hop between an izakaya dinner, a couple of hidden local bars, and a final nightlife stop, with your guide handling introductions, ordering, and etiquette the whole way.
Meeting Your Local Guide
Your guide will meet the group at an agreed point in Shibuya and lead you between venues on foot.
Dinner at the first stop costs roughly ¥3,000–4,000 per person, paid on the spot (bring cash), and any drinks or snacks beyond the included 2 welcome drinks/shots are extra.
By the way, Japan’s legal drinking age is 20, so please bring valid photo ID.
