This is a premium experience designed for those who want to sip high-quality whisky in locations most tourists do not know about.
We visit a mix of traditional local whiskey bars and international style venues. We can also visit speciality stores for rare finds.

Your guide will message you beforehand to talk through your whisky preferences before setting the route.
The first stop is usually a set favourite; a spot with a strong tasting selection and real character, worth visiting on every tour.
From there, you’ll visit two to three venues in total, which might include hidden speakeasy-style bars or traditional wooden whisky bars, chosen around what you’re in the mood for.
For true enthusiasts, your guide can also work in a stop at a specialty whisky shop to browse rare and hard-to-find bottles before the end of the tour.

Over 3 hours, you’ll visit a small, curated mix of Tokyo’s best whisky bars; a blend of classic local spots and modern international-style venues, and taste your way through some of Japan’s finest whiskies in an intimate setting.
How We Customise Your Private Tokyo Whisky Tour
After booking, tell us a bit about your whisky preferences (smoky and peaty, smooth and easy-drinking, or something in between) and whether you’d like to include a stop at a specialty shop for rare bottles.
Useful information includes:
- Whisky style preferences (peaty, smooth, cocktail-forward, etc.)
- Whether you’d like to browse specialty whisky shops
- Dietary needs, if you’d also like food recommendations along the way
We will use this information to prepare a suitable route. The itinerary remains flexible, and your guide can adjust the pace when practical during the tour.
Meeting Your Local Guide
Your guide will meet you at an agreed point near Omote-Sando Station and take you between venues on foot.
Drinks are paid for as you go at each venue (not included in the tour price), along with transport and any shopping at specialty stores.
Please note that Japan’s legal drinking age is 20, so be sure to bring valid photo ID with you too.
